About The LDSH & Cause

The Lewes Designer Showhouse, for the Lewes Fire Department & co-hosted by Paint Paper & Panel, is a one-of-a-kind fundraising event that brings together the region’s most talented constructors, interior designers, artists, and other vendors to transform a coastal home into a showcase of creativity and style. Hosted in the heart of historic Lewes, Delaware, this collaborative project celebrates design while supporting a vital community cause—all proceeds directly benefit the Lewes Fire Department.

Between 2019 and 2023, EMS calls surged from 4,401 to 5,919, and fire-related calls increased from 770 to 974. The department now serves over 45,000 residents across 54 square miles. Yet, despite this growing demand, the department does not receive any development impact fees and must raise more than $2.4 million every year just to keep up with operational needs.
